I’m not doing regular tab sweep but there has been several interesting things said on or about OpenDS in the last few days.
- Jonathan Schwartz, Sun CEO, in his series of post about “Understanding Sun in Three Easy Steps“, mentions OpenDS among Sun sponsored open source projects that are contributing to Sun’s fastest growing business: Software.
- Indira Thangasamy has posted an updated How To guide for using OpenDS as the OpenSSO user repository. This configuration is getting supported for OpenSSO Express 7 with some manual settings, but will be fully supported and automated in OpenSSO Enterprise 8.1
- Masoud Kalali has written a nice and detailed article on “experimenting with replication and failover recovery with OpenDS“. Masoud makes some interesting comments on the Control Panel and demonstrates one of the least known features of LDAP client libraries: the ability to accept multiple URLs as the server location input.
- Yamasaki-san has posted a couple of articles on OpenDS in Japanese, one on OpenDS 1.2 and the Control Panel, another updating an overview of OpenDS.
